
Dennis Moore, Assistant Marching Band Director
Dennis Moore is a 1988 graduate of Otterbein College and is currently the Director of Vocal Music and Theatre at Newark Catholic High School. His past teaching experiences include Director of Band and Vocal Music programs at Amanda-Clearcreek Local School and Assistant Director of Bands at Tri-Valley Local Schools. He is very excited to be a part of the Big Red Band staff and looks forward to many more years of service. Dennis resides in Johnstown with his wife Polly, sons, Dylan and Alex (sophomore band members), and seven year old Big Red Band enthusiast, Lizzie.
Laurel Rings, Auxiliary Advisor
Laurel Rings is a 2009 Graduate of Johnstown-Monroe High School. While in high school, Laurel was principal clarinet player in the Symphonic Band and a member of the Auxiliary Squad in The Big Red Band, serving as captain her junior and senior years. Laurel was the 2009 recipient of the the John Philip Sousa Award, an award given to one senior in the band each year. Ms. Rings currently attends Mount Vernon Nazarene University where she is majoring in Graphic Design. In the future she plans to pursue a career in illustration or advertising. She remains active in her church choir and praise team. Laurel enjoys working with Auxiliary Squads in the Columbus area and loves working for the Big Red Band! We appreciate her contributions to help keep the program alive and thriving!
